Welcome to the official Pace, Florida 32571 website.

Home of the Pace Patriots!

The fastest-growing community in Santa Rosa County, Fla.

Pace is the western gateway to Santa Rosa County, Fla.  With thousands of residents living in Pace and more pouring in daily, this unincorporated area within Santa Rosa County is Florida’s most desired places to live.

History:

History buffs speak of William Barnett who established Florida Town in 1821, the site of his lumber mill. The rich timberland fed the mill. The town name of Pace did not enter the picture until 1907 when James C. Pace opened the Pace Mill which was in operation for 22 years. Changing to an emphasis of pulp production, the mill reopened in the late 1930’s as the Florida Pulp and Paper Company.

With its excellent public schools, recreation associations, public parks, law enforcement agencies, military support, and the very best quality of life, Pace is the fastest growing community in Northwest Florida. Population figures for Pace have skyrocketed over the last decade; from 5,000 in 2010 to more than 53,000 today.

Pace’s location is easily accessible to Milton (Santa Rosa County seat) and

Pensacola with many residents commuting back and forth to work. Local companies such as Wal-Mart Super-center, Home Depot, Office Depot, Publix, Lowes, Sears, Target and many more are offering more residents job opportunities.

Also in Pace, Fl is Stonebrook Golf and Country Club considered the premier golf facility in the area, with its elevation changes, uncommon for this area, elevated tees and greens and picturesque fairways and water features.

Pace,Fl is home to many of the military personnel and civilian employees from NAS Whiting Field, located northeast of Pace, and NAS Pensacola, located about 30 miles to the southwest of Pace. The Pensacola-Milton area is considered the “Cradle of Naval Aviation.”

Pace,Fl and Santa Rosa County, is considered the number one school district in the state of Florida. In 2010, the Santa Rosa County School System was rated “Best in State” on FCAT testing.

With its close proximity to so many Northwest Florida attractions, top schools, military facilities and health centers, Pace offers you a slower pace of life with all the benefits of the big city.
